In the Center of photography Lumiere brothers show rare photos of Marilyn Monroe and Coco Chanel
Wednesday, January 17, at the Center of photography Lumiere brothers exhibition opens famous Hollywood photographer Douglas Kirkland.
The exhibition “Behind the scenes” in the Great hall will show pictures of the filming, which took place from the 1960s to 2010 years in Hollywood, and is also known for a series of photos of Marilyn Monroe, 1961.
For almost 60 years Kirkland has documented the filming process more than 170 Hollywood movies, including “Titanic”, “Moulin Rouge”, “the Great Gatsby”. In his lens were, in particular, Brigitte Bardot, Sophia Loren, Marlene Dietrich, Jane Fonda, Jack Nicholson and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Besides, the exhibition will present a series of photographs about the life and work of 79-year-old Coco Chanel.
